Pentagon investigators tried to unravel the story below to determine whether reports of a Russian man called "The Horse" involved a Marine POW from the Korean War, an imposter or a hoax.

As far as we can tell, the mystery has never been solved. Check out clues below in the 2005 Pentagon report -- including his Russian name and purported attendance at the U.S. Naval Academy (the Naval Academy declined to help us; we could not find a match on details from that part of the story, such as the man's alleged transfer from West Point, based on public information.)
